Dr. Alverno Chelote
Clinical Administration Manager, with a medical degree from Hebei Medical University, Dr. Chelote gained substantial clinical experience as a surgical and medical intern, working alongside renowned doctors and assisting in complex surgeries. Dr. Chelote later earned a Master of Health and Human Service Management from Deakin University, graduating with distinction. Prior to joining the Oedema Institute, Dr. Chelote served as an Administrative Assistant at Camberwell Junction Medical Clinic and Sambasiva Hospital, demonstrating strong leadership and administrative skills. Dr. Chelote is dedicated to leveraging her diverse medical background to improve patient care and clinic operations.
Dr. Mark Di Manno
An Osteopath with eight years of healthcare experience, specializes in assessing and managing complex health concerns, particularly among the aged and elderly. He has played a key role in building allied health teams for vulnerable clients. Mark is an AHPRA-registered practitioner and a member of Osteopathy Australia and the Australasian Lymphology Association. He holds a Bachelor and Master of Clinical Science (Osteopathy) from Victoria University, with his master’s project focusing on manual lymphatic drainage techniques. Mark's expertise includes dry needling, myofascial cupping, and a range of treatments in private practice, aged care, community care, and international hospital settings.
Tim Whale
A Physiotherapist with nine years of experience, including five years as the primary physiotherapist for the New Zealand Navy. He has firsthand experience with the effects of insufficient physical education and the importance of tailored exercise. Now in Australia, Tim focuses on treating lipedema and lymphoedema with individualized approaches. He emphasizes patient-centered care, aiming to enable clients to self-manage their conditions. Tim’s varied interests include breathwork, posture, foreign cultures, lindy hop swing dance, and learning piano, all contributing to his holistic approach to patient care at the Oedema Institute.
Lisa Shaw
A Myotherapist who graduated from MIMT's Advanced Diploma in Myotherapy. She initially worked with bodybuilders but found her passion in Women’s Health and Chronic Care. After working in a Women’s Health Clinic in Melbourne’s Northern Suburbs, focusing on pregnancy and post-partum care, Lisa joined the Oedema Institute to continue her work with the lymphatic system and Lipoedema patients. She emphasizes trust and respect in her treatments, tailoring plans to individual goals. Lisa excels in treating women’s health issues, chronic pain, and lymphatic conditions using various modalities. Outside the clinic, she enjoys renovating her home with her husband and Bichon Frise, Shelby.
Eve Hongsap
A dedicated remedial massage therapist and Myotherapist known for her extensive experience and heartfelt passion for improving physical well-being. Specializing in manual lymphatic drainage and musculoskeletal issues, Eve combines her expertise with genuine care to offer top-quality, personalized treatments. Since graduating as a Myotherapist in 2022, she has continuously advanced her skills, ensuring she stays at the forefront of massage therapy. Eve's holistic and patient-centered approach addresses various conditions, including chronic pain, post-surgical recovery, lymphedema, and lipedema. Her warm demeanor and commitment to helping clients achieve their treatment goals make each session a positive, healing experience.
